Kate inspires local women

As part of International Women’s Day celebrations in town, the Cootamundra Soroptimist branch hosted a dinner at the Country Club with guest speaker Kate Seselja.

Mrs Seselja is the founder of HOPE project.

She is a mother of six who struggled with a 12-year gambling addiction.

The successful dinner saw 48 guests take in Ms Seselja’s address.

“Listening to Kate talk to the audience from the heart was a moving experience,” Soroptimist Vivien Pavert said.

“Kate has learnt to understand herself and helps others.”

She is the woman behind the course ‘AWAKE’ designed to help others.

“Kate found the evening and Cootamundra to be a pleasure to visit and says she is humbled to be able to inspire others,” Mrs Pavert said.

With Soroptimists an organisation working to improve the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world, the dinner was a perfect fit.
